Dear Parents,
Just two more week to go! Where did the year go? The next couple of
weeks will be hectic with tying up loose ends and final preparations for
the summer.
A huge congratulation goes out to the
students and Miss Smith for the wonderful job they did at the
SPRING CONCERT. I was extremely pleased with the students’
performance and behavior as well as the number of parents that came to
hear the students sing.
There are
several BUDDY PICNICS scheduled between now and the end of
the year. Let’s hope that the weather cooperates so that they can enjoy
their outings. Picnics are scheduled as follows: Wednesday - Gr. K, 4
& 8; Tuesday – Gr. 2, 3, 6, & 7; & Wednesday – Gr. 1 & 5.
FIELD DAY
will be held on Thursday, May 29th. This is a great day of
fun for the students and faculty. Service Club is organizing and
running the day this year. They welcome any parents that would like to
volunteer and help out with the stations. Your child will be assigned,
by their homeroom teacher, to the blue team or the gold team. They are
to wear the color of their team, i.e. the blue team will wear blue and
the gold team will wear gold.
Please make sure your TUITION
is paid in full before the last day of school. Those families who still
owe tuition will not receive report cards, diplomas, or records for new
schools. In addition families who have not paid in full will not be
permitted to return to St. Cecilia’s next year until their account is
up-to-date.
EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATION
will be held on Friday, May 30th at 8:00 p.m. We are very
proud of our graduating class and invite all to come celebrate their
achievements with us at Mass. We will hold an
AWARDS CEREMNONY for the eighth graders at 1:30 p.m. in the gym
on Wednesday, May 28th. Everyone is invited to come help us
congratulate the good work they have done this year.
The LAST DAY of school for
grades K-7 is Thursday, June 5th. We will celebrate our last
SCHOOL MASS together on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. A small
AWARDS CEREMONY will be held in the gym at 10:00 a.m.
Everyone is welcome to come pray and celebrate the students’
achievements. We will be DISMISSED AT
1:00 p.m.
There will be no latchkey on this day. Please make arrangements to have
your child picked up on time.
NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 26th – Memorial
Day.
Reminder: There will also be NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 23rd.
The students earned this free day for doing such a fantastic job on the
Raffle Sales. They met and exceeded the school goal of $8500. I hope
everyone enjoys their extended Memorial Day Weekend.
